Peter Kaltreider shows in Sacramento
Peter’s painting Coronation was well-received last night, March 9, at the Barton Gallery in Sacramento. At least 400 people attended the opening which showcased paintings and sculpture by 22 artists. The intent of the “Under 30/Over 20” juried show is to display the work of young emerging artists in northern California.

Coronation occupied a prominent position on its own wall at the front of the gallery space. Other works throughout the gallery exhibited a similar and consistent level of originality and quality, representing a wide range of styles.

“I want to thank friends and supporters who were able to accompany us to the opening”, Peter said. “ Thank you also to the many people who were there in spirit, from North Carolina to Hawaii. And as always, I extend deep gratitude to the members of my Patron Society. This was a huge night for me and everyone’s encouragement, support, and connection to my work helped to get Coronation in front of the eyes of hundreds, maybe thousands, of people in Sacramento.”

Invited artists were asked to submit essays about the particular pieces entered into the show. Peter’s essay for Coronation may be seen on the essay page of peterkaltreider.com. The “Under30/Over 20” show will continue from March 8 to April 7, 2003 at the Barton Gallery, 1723 I Street in Sacramento, CA.
